A Meeting With AACPD Leadership
As Bee Indee 3 works to strengthen our footprint here in Anne Arundel County, I am actively seeking out new allies in our mission to open up new avenues for the conservative community. On a regular basis, I seek to bring our cause before leaders in our community. Thanks to your support, the years of work put into this effort is beginning to produce fruit. With the help of Councilman Michael Peroutka, I was able to have a great conversation with with the leadership of the Anne Arundel County Police Department. Anne Arundel County Chief of Police, Tim Altomare and his Deputy Chiefs, Jerard Flemings and Bill Krampf sat down with Councilman Peroutka and myself to discuss options for increased community involvement. I can’t share all of the details that we discussed, but it was an extremely productive conversation!
One of the most important things that I learned was that the department makes incredible investments into building positive relationships with our communities in Severn. There is work to be done throughout the county, but my personal history with the Severn communities like Meade Village and Pioneer City push me to be more interested in efforts in our local scope. I always knew that our Law-Enforcement was pro-active in attempting to build relationships, but I had no idea to what extent. The numerous partnerships they have developed, as well as the teams and initiatives they have in place are a powerful reflection of this department’s commitment to serving our community. Interestingly, they cited as their strongest allies, the local clergy that serve to actively combat the spread of evil entities. Pastor Jay Offer was among those named. They expressed incredible appreciation for the partners that continue to work with them. Quite frankly, I’d like to see more media cover the incredible amount of good work that our law enforcement is doing, rather than focusing exclusively on the juicy scandals and negative rhetoric against law enforcement matters beyond our locality.
An interesting area of discussion centered around the willingness of the community to partner with law enforcement to fight back against the evil people who bring violence, drugs, and crime into the community. A few anecdotes were shared with me that left my heart troubled. Put simply, ridding our communities of the criminal elements that hold our fellow residents in bondage is a delicate and dangerous task. The police are relentless in their fight, but it’s a fierce job that takes an immense toll on both law enforcement and the residents of these communities. I briefly considered exploring options to help raise more awareness on this matter, but it seems more prudent to discreetly leave this in the hands of law enforcement, and more importantly, Almighty God. There are significant efforts to make progress on this front, and based on the scope and role of our Bee Indee 3 community, it seems our role will be to fill a few other gaps.
At the end of the day, I came away with a few specific action items that will impact the scope and direction of Bee Indee 3, as we seek to help get more conservatives involved with the community. Here are a few of the ideas that will be explored, to help better assist the AACPD. First, we have several contacts that will keep us up to date about community engagement efforts, and we will leverage our platform to make sure that the residents of Anne Arundel County are aware of these efforts. Some of them require donated resources, and others need the support of local councilmen. Both are areas we can impact. Second, we will work hard to create additional face to face opportunities for the AACPD to enjoy public exposure in a friendly environment. Because the left has such a strong foothold here, I am concerned that sometimes the officers face hostile, agenda driven narratives under false pretenses. Finally, we will work to gradually expose residents to the positive merits of a traditional morality-based worldview. There are several tools at our disposal, and the best thing we do is lead by example. We are looking forward to where this partnership takes us! Bee Indee!
